Handling and Setup Tips
Always wear gloves during setup.
When rigging or setting up your stretch shapes or stretch screens, wearing gloves will help keep finger oils from penetrating the material.
Be cautious of screens and shapes touching the ground.
During setup, it’s not uncommon for stretch screens and shapes to touch the ground. Take precaution by making sure the surface is clean, or lay down a clean tarp to ensure your screens or shapes do not get dirty. Painters plastic or construction paper works great for keeping your setup clean and tidy.
How to Store Stretchy Shapes and Screens
Stretchy Screens shapes and screens are extremely simple to store and ship, which makes them the perfect solution for mobile DJs, stage and lighting companies, and AV companies.
To keep your stretch shapes or screens clean during shipment to you, most of our products are kept in neat poly bags.
Once you’ve used your tension fabric products and want to store them again, most of our products can be folded or rolled and put into our carry bags. For long storage periods, we recommend you fold your products with a bit more care to decrease the amount of wrinkles as much as possible. Then store in your carry bag.
When you’re ready to use your screen or shape again, simply remove it from the bag, and voilà! Wrinkles will stretch right out of your screen. If you do, however, still have a few deeper wrinkles left, you can just toss your screen or shape into a standard dryer on low heat, and that should remove them. Caution: Do not use high heat as this may melt or damage your screen.
Washing Instructions
Your stretch shapes and screens can be easily machine washed at home in warm — not hot — water. On heavily stained areas, we recommend using OxiClean™ or a stain removal product that does not include bleach. Do not bleach your stretch products. To dry, tumble dry on low heat. Do not use high heat.
